Small businesses save money on heating bills using automatic occupancy detection
Ofgem has been investigating British Gas Business for claims that it incorrectly objected to businesses switching. Energy firms can only object to a small firm switching suppliers if there are good reasons – for example, if the company owes money. “We are working closely with Ofgem and hope to get the situation resolved as soon as possible,” was the comment from British Gas. Ofgem also wants a clear code of practice for brokers, some of whom mislead business customers.
Small businesses feeling they are not getting a good enough deal on their heating bills can slash them by 20% to 30%-plus with HeatingSave. Small businesses often pay more for their gas, electricity and heating oil, making it more urgent to save money. HeatingSave Small Business uses automatic occupancy detection allowing the temperature to reduce to a background when areas are not used and quickly brought up to temperature when they are being used. This feature alone can save up to 10% off bills.
