More than 400,000 UK homes left without any support in lowering energy bills

The UK Government’s plans to reduce the green energy levies will actually leave more than 400,000 British homes without any financial support for installing energy efficiency measures, a brand new media report on the matter can reveal.

As as result of changes made back in December to the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), a set of rules designed to force companies to pay for the installation of green measures, household energy bills are set to go down by an estimate 30 to 40 pounds.

However, the cut in the ECO scheme also means that 440,000 fewer homes get help from the government to bring down their long-term energy costs through measures such as insulation and efficient boilers.

As a direct result of this situation, energy companies are likely to record quite a hefty amount of profit by selling extra gas and electricity to households that will no longer get help to reduce their usage.

This proves, once more, that installing an energy optimization solution for one’s household is the best way to save money on the long-term, and this is specifically where HeatingSave can help.

The HeatingSave Building Energy Management System helps customers save more than 30% on their bills by optimizing any heating system’s overall functionality. This is done by taking into account a variety of factors, such as internal and external temperatures, occupancy, time of the year, the particular characteristics of installed boilers, etc. All of the data is used in order to determine the best heating patterns for the various heating zones within any building, using our proprietary heat-loss algorithm.

The end result is that users still get a very good level of comfort, while in the same time saving energy and money in the process.
